What is Wild Life?
Wild Life is an independent feature film that was produced in the small town of Oconomowoc, Wisconsin during the summer of 2021. It is a “true indie” movie- completely self-financed, written, and directed by Oconomowoc native Calvin Zimmerman.
The Story
Wild Life tells the story of a fictitious small town that comes apart at the seams when the local high school falls victim to a mass shooting. It is the story of a broken community that must piece itself back together in the wake of unimaginable tragedy.
Specifically, the film focuses on a group of young teens, who struggle to cope with the violent murder of their friends and classmates. The situation only escalates when it is revealed that the shooter was someone close to them.
